Appreciating fountain pens.

I got my first fountain pen in the sophomore year of highschool. It's been two years since, and I am still in love with my 𝘊𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘬 𝘈𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘵, a cheap Indian fountain pen that just 𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘴. It has been a staple in my journey as a lifelong learner and a significant part of my personality.
Now, here's why I love fountain pens: FPs have 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘳. They have 𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘩. They evolve with you. The nib knows what you've been through. It sees through every right and every wrong. It remembers every line of poetry, every journal entry, every task struck off and every love letter.
Fountain pens give a sense of permeance in this everchanging world. Software standards change, hardwares get old, notebooks get finished, but a fountain pen, if maintained right, remains forever. Even more so, each fountain pen is unique, each nib is different. It's made for you. It moulds into your hands and your lifestyle. It starts sharing the same values as you.
But I actually regressed from being a person living in the present moment, to being haphazard as heck. July-November 2025 was probably the hardest time of my life, and I wanted to re-discover what brought joy to me two years ago (with fixing a LOT of stuff for good). I wanted something to give me a fresh start, so that I can stop falling into the neverending well.
So I got myself another fountain pen! And more inks!
I got myself a 𝘒𝘢𝘯𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘳𝘦 (still another cheap pen, but expensive than the 𝘈𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘵) and some 𝘚𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘬𝘩𝘢 inks. And wow, I could say that my love for FPs has been increased by a thousandfold. Using new inks and a new nib feels like being reborn.

And yes, you could say that I have been "reborn" in a sense. But more on that some other time.
Right now, I have to go spend some more time with my pens.
